[1965].. [1965].. Good. - A 7-1/4 inch high by 7-1/4 inch wide brochure with text by Harry L. Shapiro outlining the progress and triumph of man from the "Dawn of Man" through his "Leap to the Stars". More of a fold-out, the brochure is illustrated with a double-page folding plate containing 8 color illustrations of stages in the progress of man. 4 more color illustrations on the theme are pictured on the verso of the folding flap. The 13th illustration, entitled "Man's Leap To The Stars" appears in the corner above Shapiro's text on the back of the brochure. Additional text is printed on the sleeve mounted to the inside of the front cover. This sleeve contains a 2-sided 33-1/3 RPM record on red vinyl. The 7 inch diameter record is entitled "The Triumph of Man Presented by The Travelers Insurance Companies Hartford Connecticut". The title is printed on the first side, with the contents listed on the second side. The record consists of a "Script by Robert P. Davis" with "Narration by Peter Thomas" and an "Original Score by Frank Leslie Moore"; "Performed by The Hartford Symphony Orchestra under the direction of Fritz Mahler". The brochure and record are in very good condition. Housed in its original mailing envelope with a complimentary slip laid in.
