- Over 70 words typed on 9-1/2 inch high by 8-1/2 inch wide creamy white "Consulat General de France" stationery. In his letter to James B. Pond, Liebert states that "it will give me much pleasure to be a member of the reception committee appointed to welcome Mr. M. Maeterlinck on the occasion of his first lecture in this country...." Signed "Gaston Liebert" as Consul General for France. The letter is folded horizontally for mailing with minor foxing or spotting and a punch hole to the top left corner.
